Its already time for Mardi Gras in Kansas City. Which means costumes, drummers, floats and the art mafia taking over 18th street (between Wyandotte and Baltimore) for another kick ass festival. I've got a feeling this might be the last year the event is not co-opted or at least sponsered by someone, so it might be the last truly wild year the event happens. last year was epic and I'm posting the video I made of the event for anyone who missed it. This year will be different, a little colder but less police and mace. The events start at six in the morning on Tuesday the 8th. But the street festival starts at six p.m. and at seven the marching pythons are stopping by. Later on in the night there will be an informal "march" east down 18th street and Fat Sal and Superwolf will be djing at The Brick. contact me if you need any more info.
p.s. the video file is large (75 megs) give it some time and don't even bother with it on a slow connection. best ozgood
